The music is too quick tempoed are is a Thriller soundtrack rather than a horror. It also does not fit the pace of the edits in the opening - the hanging especially out to be a sting to emphasise the shock of this shot. The footage becomes rather repetitive and there is a lack of generic horror set ups - the hands on glass and radiator is done well, but the attacks haunting possession etc is not clear. Due to this the trailer is not scary or convincing as a horror - remember sound is 50% of the impact. You need to add layers of foley. You need to intercut more titles at the start to make the meaning of the girl in the house make sense. There is a effective use of slow fades to emphasise the fast cuts to come later. To improve: Choose more effective horror soundtrack and edit it to the tempo and meaning of the images/scenes Add in your titles and clarify the narrative Include more generic horror shots - the list of 10 we agreed Cut down the wandering in the woods - it shows you gave a lack of footage Add in more haunting effects like walking through walls or possession iconography like relics or occultist symbols It is under length - priority is to shoot more and add more sounds and mix them Level 2 D-
The music soundtrack is very good, it really builds up the tension. The costume of the antagonist is very good, I like the fact that her identity isnt properly revealed. The only thing is I don't really understand the story line and that the same colour grade is used for almost every scene! Well done. Age 17
I love the storyline of the trailer it is clear to me and I like how the colour grading flows throughout the trailer. A weakness would be there are no title slides, adding these in would help people who might not understand the storyline line so much. The costume and make up is really effective. Well done! Age 18
